btw...here is last weekend dinner....told a while cos i was busy...once again...forgive the not-so-good pictures
First and foremost, my dad's creative vegetarian shark-fin....which tasty 80% like the real thing with the usual condiments.
Consisted of veg/a gd variety of mushrooms/carrots...
Not as starchy as those shark fins we normally eat and certainly much healthier...
Next we have is the famous teochew fish...aka white rabbit fish or 白肚鱼. This fish is exceptional expensive during the CNY because teochews believe that eating this fish during CNY will bring gd luck for the rest of year.
ANyway, i love this fish cos i am a teochew and a gd reason is that the fish meat is firm and meaty, yum yum...one of this fish, black olive veg, soy sauce and porridage...a satisfying meal for me liao....
